For our block this month we're borrowing a super easy tutorial from the Oklahoma City MQG. This arrow is pretty simple and goes together fairly fast. Their blog post is here, there's even a link if you want to print out the instructions.
There's good news! We have enough blocks to make 5 charity quilts for Jabobs House.
There's more good news! This month there's no new BOM; instead please make or finish any of the blocks from 2017 and bring them to the February meeting. We're hoping to scrape together another quilt or two.
Jacobs House is a local charity that works with all the local hospitals to provide lodging for families in medical crisis. Ask any nurse or other hospital employees how important this is. Without the help provided by Jacobs House, families could be sleeping in their cars or hospital waiting rooms. Instead, they can be referred to Jacobs House and have a room and bath of their own, a kitchen and everything else that they need in a temporary home.
There is one more piece of good news, at the TVMQG January Board meeting we voted to continue our Charity BOM program. The next new block will be presented in February.
